Met up with fellow Pudercrew-members Franzl and Matthias, to learn some glacier-techniques from our trusted guide Charly. And guess what: The weather was nice too...

Pfaelzerwald, Germany

There's this famous german saying, that goes "Kaiserslautern and its surroundings are the most beautiful thing ever created". Okay, I made that up. But still. Tell me this doesn't look incredible. Even better when you consider, that we didn't get any snow whatsoever in 2014...

There are moments in life, when you just have to get out no matter the conditions. Especially if the season is taking it's time to start. Not always the smartest decision, but hey... Read the whole story at Powder+

We thought it was still summer when we brought our tents. The nights then granted us with freezing temperatures and snowfall higher up. Oops.

Montafon, Austria

We should have started earlier, or at least not having stopped for so long. The wind got pretty heavy during the last hour, and shifted quite a bit of snow. After triggering some smaller cracks and watching the tip of a windlip break off, we decided to take the easy route down. The snow was great though!

Eastern Pyrenees

While the snowcover in the northern alps was as bad as it could probably get for this time of the season, we were skiing the eastern Pyrenees. Conditions were far from "epic", but despite having to deal with a lot of crust and/or windbuff and/or rain, it was still an enjoyable trip. Recommended!

Zugspitze, German Alps

We could have been smarter than to try to summit the Zugspitze after about a week of snowfall, but then again: Who's really smart? Certainly not us, so we had to turn around after 7h, just about 200 vertical metres short of the summit. Duh. Note to self: Get a brain.

When producer Max Mostley asked me to shoot his new press photos, he already had a very clear vision of what he wanted. The result is something I probably wouldn't have shot whithout him explicitly asking for it, but over time this look really grew on me. Best example for two creatives working together in a positive way.
